Duncan House
During the Covid quarantine, I went on walks around the neighborhood every day with my then-infant son. We met many of our neighbors, who showed us such warmth and kindness that I especially appreciated in my early months as a mom.
This home was owned by the Duncan family, and the husband would always make a point of turning on his very cool clarinet fountain for my kids. We made friends over the years and were so sad to find out they were moving out of state after decades in that house.
It was my honor to paint their home with the orange door, and with every brush stroke I thought about all the life they lived there. We presented it to them while they were packing up the u-haul and I will never forget that sweet moment.
